languages - I really enjoy learning (and learning about) languages. I can carry on a decent conversation in Italian or Brazilian Portuguese and am always interested in getting more practice. See more about this on my language page.

gadgets and tech - Like most people of my professional persuasion, I'm interested in all sorts of technology, though I often find my tastes at odds with a lot of other tech enthusiasts (usually involving difference over "human factors" issues like user interfaces, etc.) I've put some my thoughts and reviews of a few devices on my tech page.
